YOUR HOST

Welcome to the Sleepy Rooster Guesthouse!

I have spent 12 years remodeling and renovating this lovely 170 year old Cape house (my Father built a house and so I grew up around tools).  I tried to keep what was charming and important to the history of the house while introducing some modern conveniences and providing an overall face-lift.  The gardens have also been extensively landscaped.

After a 20+ year career in banking and Records Management, I pursued my "Second Act" of running The Sleepy Rooster Guesthouse as a bed and breakfast for a number of years. In 2006 I built the 3000 sq ft post and beam barn in the back of the property that I use as a workshop and art studio. In the off-season I continue to paint and pursue photography. Some of my paintings and photographs are displayed in the house.

I have an Associate degree in Horticulture from the College of San Mateo in California and then focused on classical studies for my undergraduate degree with a field of study in Studio Art from Harvard University.

I look forward to sharing my eclectic home with you and your family, and hope you have a wonderful visit to Cape Cod.
